Welcome to No Reservations

“Do. Or do not. There is no try.” Yoda

Welcome to No Reservations. I am Pastor Harold Marrero, the Executive Director and Co-Founder of this vibrant, diverse community. Birthed from the desire for an inclusive faith community in Miami-Dade, we transcend denominational lines and break the typical four-wall church confines.

Our top priority is to foster an open community, welcoming all, irrespective of gender, race, sexual orientation, and faith, or lack thereof. We don’t cater exclusively to those with an established faith home; we are here for the “spiritual nones” and the “spiritual but not religious,” those who have strayed from traditional faith models.

No Reservations doesn’t claim monopoly over spiritual truth or a specific way of being Christian or spiritual. Our goal is to offer a safe, inclusive community for questioners, seekers, and those yearning to live out their faith in a worldly context. We encourage active social justice participation and thoughtful social commentary.

Through the connections we foster, we embrace the full spectrum of the human experience—through shared meals, theological discussions, casual scripture studies, food preparation for Miami’s homeless, deconstruction of dogmatic themes, and fellowship at themed events.

Explore our website, visit our social media channels, and delve into our Re-Discovering Faith section. If you’ve read this far, you might be one of the many who feel neglected or forgotten by traditional church models. Perhaps you’ve outgrown the rigid confines of classical faith communities or have been wounded by faith communities that, despite espousing love, reject you based on misguided interpretations.

If any of these resonate with you, or if you’re in search of a community of like-minded seekers, No Reservations Group is your place. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, reach out to us, or attend any of our planned events. Together, we can redefine 21st-century Christianity and embody the intersectional Christ in us all.

About Our Pastor

My name is Harold Marrero, and I was born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. My life has been profoundly woven with faith and church since the age of 15. The church, at its heart, stands as a lighthouse for societal transformation and human betterment, although sometimes it becomes an impediment for those seeking to discern their divine purpose.

My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a focus on Non-Profit Management from Miami Dade College, followed by a Master’s degree in Theology from the Chicago Theological Seminary at the University of Chicago. My master’s program emphasized Christian Liberation Theology and Interreligious Dialogue. I am currently completing a Doctoral Degree in Christian Leadership from Duke Divinity School at Duke University, with a particular focus on the Emergent Church Movement in the West and the intersection of Psychoanalysis — specifically Bowen’s Family System Theory and Self-Differentiation — within biblical contexts & pastoral leadership.

I have been honored with the opportunity to present a theological concept at The European Conference on Ethics, Religion & Philosophy, titled “How The Rise of Artificial Intelligence and Automation Can Save The West Through The Application of Christian Liberation Theology & Ethics.” In addition, I am a published poet and have edited and published a year-long devotional book with multiple contributors, as well as produced podcast and media content for several Miami congregations and non-profits.

As a Queer Hispanic faith leader, my intersectional experience provides a rich platform for dialogue and reflection, particularly for those marginalized by intolerant religious structures and families. I firmly believe that 21st-century faith can inspire collective movements for change, connecting with individuals who perceive the flawed status quo and possess the audacity, vision, and wisdom to usher in transformation.
